Ergebnis der Probefahrt: Der E71 ist einer der letzten mit dem bewährten S63B44-Motor, bevor die Modelle ab Mitte 2012 noch weiter verbessert wurden. Unser Fahrzeug stammt aus 2014 und hat somit nicht die bekannten Probleme der früheren Varianten. Der Wagen fährt sich hervorragend, wurde erst vor kurzem auf japanischen Straßen bewegt und hat zudem einen offiziellen Service erhalten (siehe unten).
