Warranty & Guarantee

Our mission is to offer you the best prices for vehicles from Japan. As a Japanese company, we unfortunately cannot offer statutory German warranties. However, every vehicle is meticulously inspected before sale – with complete transparency and a sense of responsibility.

Should challenges arise despite all our diligence, we won't leave you alone. Together, we'll find a fair solution.

1. Insurance coverage during transport

Each vehicle is fully insured throughout the entire transport journey. Should an extraordinary incident occur, such as a shipwreck or serious transport damage, we guarantee a refund of the purchase price through the transport insurance.

Important: BCJ is not directly liable for transport damage – we will accompany and support you in reporting the damage and communicating with the insurance company.

2. We examine thoroughly – but are not experts

Before selling, we carry out a thorough visual inspection, including:

  • Test drive at operating temperature, duration: at least 30 minutes
  • Measuring the paint thickness
  • Check for visible defects and abnormalities

Our assessments are based on many years of experience—however, we are not certified appraisers. Therefore, it may happen that additional defects are discovered during a subsequent TÜV inspection or workshop inspection.

BCJ assumes no liability for subsequent workshop findings or defects that were not apparent at the time of sale.

Regular maintenance work such as oil changes or replacing wear parts is part of normal operation of used vehicles and is the responsibility of the buyer.
However, if our preliminary inspection in Japan reveals significant defects – for example, heavily worn brakes or tires – we will point this out in the advertisement.
In these cases, any repair costs are often already included in the sales price.

3. No warranty as in Germany

Since we are a Japanese company, German warranty rights do not apply to vehicle purchases. These are generally used vehicles; despite all due care, repairs may become necessary during later use.

4. What happens in case of major defects?

If a major defect arises during the handover that we were unable to detect beforehand, we will find a fair solution together:

  • In such a case, we will offer you a fair price reduction.
  • In the extremely rare case of a "total loss" (e.g., serious accident damage despite a statement to the contrary), we will take back the vehicle and refund the purchase price.*

*Only for serious defects that were not previously communicated. No return policy in the event of a change of mind or in the case of typical signs of wear and tear.
