It's so easy to buy a vehicle from Japan via Beyond Cars Japan:

1. Your dream vehicle

Use the desired vehicle form and send us information about your specific desired vehicle. The more detailed the better.

We are very sorry, but please note that due to staff shortages we cannot offer general purchase advice on vehicles. We would be happy to advise you about the purchase.

2. We research for you on site

Based locally in Japan, we research Japanese auction houses, dealers and private listings across the country and filter out the best options that fit your needs and budget. Of course, non-binding and free of charge.

We are very sorry, but please note that there may not be a vehicle available on the market that meets your needs and/or budget. Vehicles with high demand are also difficult to obtain. This process may take several weeks or months until we make you a good offer.

3. Matching vehicle found

We found a vehicle! The vehicle can either be purchased through a local public auction or purchased directly. We will be happy to advise you and offer you all available options. This means you remain in control and have complete freedom of choice. The cost estimate includes all costs up to the delivery of your desired port. This way you can compare prices and make a decision worry-free and safely.

4. Payment of the deposit

After you have decided on an option, we would like to check the vehicle on site in Japan and send our employees and partners on their way. So that we know that you are serious, we allow us to charge a deposit. This will be credited to the purchase price or you will receive a refund without any further fees if no purchase is made.

The deposit is paid into our EU bank account via the well-known and secure provider Wise.

5. Vehicle inspection

We set off and inspect and check the vehicle on site in Japan. You will receive all information, pictures and, if desired, videos of the vehicle. We also examine documents and service histories or other points that you would like to have examined.

6. Purchase agreement

For vehicles that are purchased immediately, we can get started right away and purchase the vehicle. We will quickly send you a ready-made purchase contract. An immediate payment of the total amount minus the deposit is due.

For vehicles sold on the very popular commercial auction platforms in Japan, you must inform us of your maximum bid. The auctions run within a few days - that means everything has to happen quickly. On auction day, bid on the vehicle up to your maximum bid. If the bid is successful, the vehicle is yours! We will quickly send you a ready-made purchase contract. An immediate payment of the total amount minus the deposit is due.

We are very sorry, but we do not currently offer installment plans or pay later options.

The transfer account is our Japanese account in Japan. A transfer via the provider Wise is also possible.

7. Transportation

After confirmation that the money has been received into our accounts, the vehicle will be prepared for export and booked onto the next possible ship. The duration and ship route may vary depending on the season. We always keep you up to date. We will give you the ship route and the container number so you can easily check where your vehicle is currently.

8. Arrival and collection

Your vehicle is ready for pickup. You will usually be notified by the shipping company. Optionally, we also offer processing at the pick-up port for an additional charge.

9. HU/AU & approval

Your vehicle is ready for the HU/AU and can be prepared. We also offer an optional admission and registration service for an additional charge.
