From the auction to you – this is how it works

You choose a vehicle - we take care of the rest.
We'll bid on it for you – transparently, securely, and easily. Please follow these steps for a smooth process:

1. Your bid

  • Your maximum budget

    Please tell us your absolute maximum bid – this is the total price you will ultimately pay. Everything should be included (all-inclusive), from transport to any desired additional services.

    You can easily send us your bid via WhatsApp or email.

    If the vehicle is auctioned for a lower price, you will of course pay less accordingly.

2. On the day of the car auction

  • On-site vehicle inspection

    Our team in Japan will personally inspect the vehicle. Additional photos can be taken upon request. We are happy to offer our advice based on many years of experience.

  • Your safety

    If any unexpected defects occur, we will inform you immediately and advise you on whether a bid makes sense. Otherwise, we will refund your deposit in full immediately .

  • We offer for you

    Does your vehicle make a good impression? Great! We'll bid on your behalf at the auction, taking your maximum budget into account.

3. After the auction

  • Payment & Purchase Agreement

    If your bid is successful, you will immediately receive an invoice and the purchase agreement via email. Payment must be made immediately. The vehicle will then be transferred to our fleet in Japan.

  • Shipment

    We handle the entire shipping process. Shipping typically takes 6-12 weeks —we'll keep you updated at all times.

  • Vehicle documents

    While your car is on its way, we will send you all the necessary vehicle documents for vehicle registration by mail.

4. Arrival in the destination country

  • Transport to Bremen

    Once your car arrives at the port, we will take care of the entire process and bring it to Bremen to prepare it for the DE standard so that you can drive your vehicle legally in Germany.

  • Pick up from you

    Congratulations!
    Your car has passed the TÜV inspection and is now ready for you to pick up at our partner location.

Additional services (with surcharge)

  • Door-to-door delivery within Germany

    Vehicles typically arrive in Bremerhaven. Upon request, we can deliver your vehicle directly to your doorstep.

    Currently, we only offer home deliveries within Germany.

  • Professional maintenance and vehicle preparation

    Recommendation: A complete checkup including an oil change, brake check, and maintenance for a worry-free start. This includes filter changes, fluid checks, and inspections of the brakes, battery, lights, and tires. These will be replaced if necessary. A thorough deep cleaning will also be performed.

  • Valuation report

    Your vehicle will be fully inspected in Germany by an independent and professional appraiser. A valuation report based on the current market value will be prepared – ideal for safeguarding your investment and providing proof that purchasing through BCJ was worthwhile.

⚠️ Notice regarding auction vehicles

  • BCJ handles the transaction in Japan and the subsequent registration in Germany. The purchase is made on behalf of and at the risk of the buyer. There is no warranty or guarantee. The buyer is solely responsible for the condition of the vehicle and all resulting costs and risks.

Frequently Asked Questions - Auction

What information and pictures will I receive about the vehicles before the auction?

  • at least 4 outdoor shots and 2 indoor shots in HD
  • Many vehicles offer a 360-degree view.
  • as well as high-resolution detailed photos of rims, tires and underbody
  • Standard information such as: make, model, year of manufacture, engine displacement, mileage, VIN number
  • Special features and defects of the vehicle
  • Additional photos and videos from BCJ on location (upon request)

What happens to my deposit if I don't buy a vehicle?

If you cannot find a suitable vehicle in the auction, you can of course request your deposit back at any time.

We will refund you immediately and in full – it's completely hassle-free.

Can I see the price at which previous vehicles were sold?

Unfortunately, there is no public access to the final selling prices of past auctions.

Do you inspect the vehicles again before we bid?

Yes, we thoroughly inspect the vehicles. Feel free to take a look at our PDF file to see how this inspection is carried out – or watch our video. (Video in production)

Can I bid AFTER I receive the additional pictures and videos from BCJ?

Unfortunately, this is usually not possible, as we can only inspect the vehicles on the day of the auction – and the auction often starts just 1-2 hours later. Due to the time difference, it's difficult to send you the pictures in time for bidding. But don't worry: if we discover any serious defects during the inspection, we will of course not bid.

What does the “all-inclusive price” include?

  • Vehicle price at auction
  • Auction house fee

  • Inland transport in Japan to the port

  • Transport from the port to Bremen
  • Import preparation for Germany
  • German vehicle adaptation
  • TÜV approval valid for 2 years (wear parts not included)
  • Personal support & communication through BCJ

What is NOT included in the “all-inclusive price”?

  • In case of breakdowns/towing service
  • Complaints, warranty, guarantee from BCJ
  • Battery replacement, refueling, etc.
  • Additional transport costs (special vehicles: e.g. classic cars, super sports cars)
  • Translation of the Japanese service history
    additional customer requests
  • Possibly necessary wear parts for the TÜV inspection:
  • Parts that may need replacing for the 2-year vehicle inspection (e.g., brakes, tires) are not included in the all-inclusive price. Of course, we will inform you in advance if anything needs replacing.

When will I get access to the auction?

Once we have confirmed receipt of your deposit payment, you will receive access to the auction platform within 24 hours.
